The extra width of the Envision 19 inch widescreen monitor makes it possible to keep many application windows open without piling them up on the task bar at the bottom of the window. This monitor is ideal for you if your work with spreadsheets a lot. It will remove the need to be frequently scrolling your rows from right to left, and then back.

The picture quality of this model is much more than average but less than what some other LCD widescreen displays have. In other words, if you don’t need to get microscopic on the graphics of your monitor, this screen will exceed your expectations.

The sound quality is adequate but not superb. It makes more sense to attach good speakers to your cpu for your music than to rely on the built in speaker of this monitor brand. This is probably an intentional play-down to prevent jarring the display with loud and solid sound vibrations.

The Professional G918w1 Envision 19 inch widescreen is another affordable LCD screen from Envision. It has much the same features as the previous model

Like the Envision G19LWK, the monitor response is 5 milliseconds enabling clear and fast-moving graphics. It also has the highest luminance for monitors which is 300 cd/m2 (candlepower per square meter). One good feature of this display is that the brightness can be toned down, something that is lacking in other brands of LCD. Again, like the G19LWK, the off-axis viewing needs to be improved…if you don’t mind people peeking at your work.

There seems to be a recurrent issue about dead pixels for this model. So while the G918w1 Envision 19 inch widescreen has everything you might look for in a monitor made for technical writing and research, and even gaming, it would be a good idea to test run it first at the vendor’s shop. Examine the display very carefully for non-rendering areas that may not be readily evident at first or second glance. Sit in front of it as if you were working, open a word processor and start typing. The white blank document is a very good background for you to be able to detect dead pixels.
